It was only the beginning!
Well, after a long 14 hour flight from Delhi to Newark and a 3 1/2 hour flight from Newark to Dallas and a 45 min car ride.... I'm finally home. It was an amazing journey and I firmly believe that it was not the end that this trip is only the beginning. I know that India wasn't a destination, but a preparation.
Keep praying for Nathan and Matthew as they are both still in India till Thursday. They stayed back to work with Camnio Media in the office in Delhi and do some additional shooting for the film.
WOW, the haunting Jet lag found me... I'm about to go into a deep sleep here soon.

Bangalore India
Good Evening/Good Morning Everyone!
I'm about to go to sleep here in the guest house where were being hosted by some missionary's here. The guest house in at the Bible College here in Bangalore. I'm so excited to see what God does in the next few days as were drawing a close to this trip.
God has done some amazing things while being here and I know it's only the beginning. If you have a facebook, I also updated some more photos on there with a description with each photo. So Check that out if you haven't. I hope you are as expectant as I am to see all of this come together in God's hands. His perfect timing has been all over this trip. This trip was a miracle. I can't believe it's almost over... Please pray as tomorrow Nathan and Derek will be speaking on Campus Ministry here at the bible college in a 4 hour class. The students even get a college credit for attending. SO PRAISE THE LORD! Also, were going to be working on a few video's for Project Rescue as we did some filming for them so they can further the kingdom here in India with a promo video. So pray that all comes together lovely, and for the night of Worship on Friday!
Love you all!
Thanks for your prayers!
Love, Tessa

(Day 8 UPDATE)
We are nearing the end of our trip, Derek and I have 3 more days. We just arrived in Bangalore where we finally have a internet connection. I wrote this entry a few days ago and want to share it with you. Another update soon!
AND YES, some photos!!!!
Hello Everyone!
WOW! We are just having so many good memories and are really enjoying the beauty of life here in India. The culture is so different but we can learn so much from them. I have so many thoughts right now and would love to just write them all down for you and go into detail but unfortunately, I don’t think you would read it all. Or you would just get lost and I wouldn’t know how to help you, cause I just keep getting lost in my thoughts right now also. BUT, I’m seriously at a loss of words for what the Lord has done so far for us in a spiritual realm, the video/photo aspect and even just as simple as the Kingdom of Heaven!!! The joy I have from being here and serving and loving those around me that have so much passion for what they do it is so inspiring.
The last 3 days have been phenomenal! I can’t even go into detail about some of it because it’s just so much and it would take to long to write, but just know that GOD is doing something here in India, in the body of Christ and in those who do not know him. He is at work here and it’s a joy to be apart of this.
We are now in Pune after a 2 hour flight from Delhi to Pune we are now safely at our resting place at the YMCA Housing. And can I say, WOW. There is a significant difference from where we were a few days ago in Patna, Bihar to where we are now in Pune. I’m so blessed to have what I have and I pray I keep this same heart, mind and gratitude. We are now in the hands a man who helps rescue girls from forced prostitution and works with Project Rescue. HOW AMAZING!! It’s a dream come true! I can’t wait to see what God has for us!!!!! We have already had so much blessing, but we are expectant.
Please keep us in prayer this week. We are seeing things we never could have imagined and will change us forever.

Plastic Castle
We ate at a restaurant called Salsa Salsa and it was a unique fusion cuisine with mexican flavors. Seriously. It was delicious. I did make the mistake and ask if they had beef or chicken with the fajitas... and Derek and Nathan looked at me and "SHH"ed me because as Hindu's they worship cows and do not eat them, and I was like... oh yea... oppss uahhh can I get Chicken please ;-) SO that was a fun experience.
After than we got ready to get on our night train to Patna, Bihar.
Patna is in the poorest state of Bihar in India. From the moment we stepped off the train till when we arrived at our flat, I was hit with so many questions and so much emotion. One being how do these people do it? There were thousands of people around going in all which way direction to and from, in and out. It was utter chaos. The smell took some time getting used to and now 2 days later with semi-no air conditioner in 100 degree heat and the power going out several times during the day and with a very full conference with 150 believers from all over Bihar. Which 10 years ago there were NONE. wow. God be the glory.
The Plastic Castle analogy was formed by a conversation with Matthew in the back of the taxi on our way to our flat. It's the Idea that us americans live in a plastic castle. It's not real.
So with spending some time here in India my eyes have been opened to this part of the world and will forever be changed, and moved to pursue the call on my life by God to be apart of what He is doing all over the world. I feel in my heart that from what I have seen, I can't just keep on going with my life as I see it but give it to love. I don't see my self in India for a long time but If God calls me here, I'll be here. I have no idea what the future holds for me but I do know it will be fighting the injustices around the world weather it be literally sex slavery, or even just domestic slavery. I know my heart has been moved to God's people. The ones who have never had a chance to hear his name.
WOW.
So what's really cool is I bought fabric yesterday and will have 4 outfits made today for under $45 dollars. It was a cool experience in the shops, thankfully we had Preethi with us, she's the pastors wife here in Patna and she helped bargain the prices. Basically if your white, the price goes up...
Anyway, I have much more to say but I will save it for my next post.
Love you guys,
Again Photos will be up soon. Once I get a chance to have more stable internet connection. In Delhi this will help ;-)
Also family, our phone that were suppose to carry with us was left in Delhi a few days ago in the taxi. We will be getting it back tonight and I should be calling soon to tell you I love you.
Love you all, Tessa

Day #1: Planes Trains and Automobiles

Hello!
Today is Sunday in India, were about to go to Church where Matthew is going to speak. I'm excited to experience the culture and to get to know the people. Tonight were getting on a night train to Patna, Bihar where will be for 3 days. The Internet there is in and out so will see if I can update there. Hopefully.
Okay, so a long plane ride is full of... snacks brought from home, MOVIES, semi-sleep, motion sickness (if not used to the 14hr flight and turbulence)... and occasionally talking to the people around you. Also flying to India, you most of the time will be the only white people on the plane. NOT this time. We sat nearly in the back of the plane and sat near a handful of Americans that didn't know each other. And were all going to similar places. One girl is going to work in an orphanage about 6hours from Delhi and when we got off the plane we did an quick interview with her after customs and baggage. BUT WOW what an encouragement because all of them are believers and all have similar passions and that's to LOVE people. Bring hope to the hopeless. Well, will see what births out of those connections. I feel that it's bigger than we can understand right now.
We arrived in Delhi around 8:25pm and had an adventure getting to our flat where the Germany's live and have a guesthouse for us to stay in. The streets are full of people at 11pm, it was still 90 degrees and there were hundreds of people sleeping on side of the streets in huts. It has already sunk into my heart and I'm feeling almost sick. Not literally but just the way I live is so glamorous and yet I complain and don't realize how blessed I really am. Anyway, I know I'm going to get hit with this for the rest of the trip.
My eyes are being opened and it's a sight to see. Pray for boldness for me, in using my camera. I want to document this trip and be bold about shots. OR I'll never get what I came here for.
Thanks guys for your support and prayers!
I'll keep you updated when I can. And hopefully some photos 2 ! ;-)
Love you guys!

Packing
Hello, Thanks for joining me on this journey! I want to update as much as I can but I'm un aware of the amount of internet access I'll get in the next 2 weeks. But keep checking for an update!!
GOD has been extremely gracious on us in these last few days. He has provided so much and has exceeded our expectations. (Our lame in the box expectations we put God in) BUT he proved to us that HE WILL provide for our needs. This is just the beginning of what HE is doing. I can't wait to show you and tell you in detail. WOW, it's going to be a reality in 9 hours. I'm needing to get some sleep before our extremely long flight.
Blessings on you all. Keep us in your prayers.
